Several illnesses have very distinctive odours – once you smell them you never forget them.
Clostridium Difficle (CDiff, for example, lends a pungent odour to the stool of people infected with this bacteria. It is an Intestinal Bacteria that leads to significant highly infectious diarrhoea and is easily transmittable from person to person.
Studies quoted in the British Medical Journal highlighted a Dog’s ability to detect this Bacteria and Cancers – with very high accuracy.
